01. David Warner
David Warner was most likely to fetch a hefty amount in the auction, after being released by SRH this season. Even after having an outstanding IPL record, David Warner was one of the most undervalued players of this season.
Not many franchises showed interest in him and eventually, Delhi Capitals bought him at 6.25 crores. We were expecting him to sell at a high price, as per his performance and impact in IPL over the years.
02. Yuzvendera Chahal
Indian players were in high demand in the auction of IPL 2022. However, Yuzvendera failed to attract huge bidders, even after being India’s best spinner in the white ball. RCB tried to retain him but gave up and he ended up in the team of Rajasthan Royals in 6.5 crores of bidding.
We were expecting that the franchise would spend a huge amount on the world’s finest leg spinner, but he ended up being the undervalued player of this season.
03. Alex Hales
Alex Hales, one of England’s destructive openers, participates in numerous T 20 tournaments. Due to the high availability of openers in the auction, not many franchises showed interest in him. He went unsold on the first day of auction and was later bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 1.50 crores.
04. Jason Roy

05. Krishnappa Gowtham
Last year this Indian uncapped player made huge headlines after being sold at 9.2 crores. However, the franchise didn’t use him the entire season.
This year he set his base price of Rs.50 Lakh and ended up being bought by Lucknow Super Giants in 90 Lakh. Gowtham could be a valuable asset of any team with a strike rate of over 15o and also is a good off-spinner.
06. Mohammad Nabi
After being unsold on auction day 1, Kolkata Knight Riders invested Rs.1 Crore in Mohammad Nabi and it was quite unpredictable that he’ll be undervalued this season. Nabi scored 207 runs from 11 T20Is with a strike rate of 128.57. Moreover, he is not only good at batting but also handy with picking wickets at the rate of 8.08.
Since the start of last year, Nabi has scored 207 in 11 T20Is at an average of 29.57 and strike rate of 128.57. He has been handy with the ball as well, picking up four wickets in an economy of 8.08.
07. Aiden Markram
For Aiden, three-team showed interest and eventually, Sunrisers Hyderabad bought him for Rs 2.6 Crore.
Despite the interest of three teams, he sold at a bargain price. He made his debut in T20 I in 2019, but only played three matches till 2021. He then became a permanent fixture in the Proteas line up with a 159th rank in ICC Rankings. Then, in April 202 he achieved the new milestone of being top 10 all-rounders.
08. Devon Conway
One of the smartest guy of the auction and a flexible batter Devon sold at the bargain price of Rs. 1crore to the franchise Chennai Super Kings. He made his T20I debut in November 2020 and his performance improved drastically. In 20 matches, with a strike rate of 139.35, he scored 602 runs in 20 matches.
Along with being a flexible batter, he can be used as a wicket-keeper too.
